The Northwest Cider Association Announces It's Seventh Annual Washington Cider Week.

The Northwest Cider Association (NWCA) has announced the seventh annual Washington Cider Week, a 10-day craft cider celebration. Cider Week kicks off on September 7th.  Get ready for this 10 day bevy of beverages from the simple to the significant; from dinner pairing menus to tap take overs, and much more. Washington is one of seven states in the U.S. celebrating a Cider Week, joining California, Colorado, Michigan, New York, Oregon and Virginia. British Columbia has a Cider Week each spring.

Cidermakers in Washington have plenty to celebrate and be proud of. Many of our region's cidermakers are gaining national recognition, not to mention receiving numerous national and international awards for their Northwest cider and perry.

Year after year cider continues to be the fastest-growing segment of the beverage market. Hard cider, crafted from apples with the same careful attention that wine is developed from grapes, is naturally gluten-free, and makes use of fruit varieties that date back hundreds of years.

We expect over 100 separate activities and special menu items are planned throughout Washington state. Reservations are strongly encouraged for some events, such as the Seattle Cider Summit and cidermaker dinners.
