Capella Porter 22oz Bottles Begin Shipping in Mid-January

PORTLAND, Ore. –. Ecliptic Brewing’s Capella Porter had quite the year in 2016---Gold at the World Beer Cup, the US Open Beer Championships, and the Oregon Beer Awards. These beer competitions bring out the best of the best in the craft beer world and it is quite the honor for a brewery to be able to say one of their beers brought home gold at all three.

Beyond this, Ecliptic’s Brewmaster John Harris, known for creating other award-winning Porters, wrote the recipe for Capella Porter.  These things combined have created a demand for Capella Porter beyond its current draft only offering and Ecliptic is answering the calls.

Starting January 19th, Ecliptic Brewing will release 22oz bottles of their Capella Porter alongside its current draft offering.  Capella Porter will be part of the All the Time Series of beers from Ecliptic including Orbiter IPA, Spectra Hoppy Pilsner, and Carina Peach Sour Ale.

“It was quite the honor to win on a state, national, and world level.  It has been exciting to see this beer become a favorite and for people to be asking for it at bottle shops and grocery stores.” said John Harris, Owner and Brewmaster of Ecliptic Brewing.  “Capella Porter does a good job rounding out our year-round offerings and I can’t wait to see it on the shelf.”

About Capella Porter
Capella Porter is named after a bright star in the constellation Auriga.  Sweet dark malt aromas are followed by a nice medium body.  Flavors of chocolate and caramel meld with just a touch of roast.  A collection of American hops (Nugget, Chinook, Centennial, and Cascade) brighten this lively porter.
