Victory Brewing Company Releases Oktoberfest Lager Festbier

Downingtown, PA, September 7, 2016 – Victory Brewing Company announces the return of Festbier, an Oktoberfest amber lager for it’s 20th season. A full-bodied, rich amber lager brewed in the tradition of German Oktoberfest lagers, Festbier made its debut in 1996 as the first beer ever brewed by Victory and has been delighting fans for two decades. Traditional German brewing techniques paired with European ingredients transports drinkers to Oktoberfest. 

Subtly sweet with a delicate malt nose, Festbier gains its impressive body from all imported German malts and decoction brewing process, a traditional technique in central European brewing which produces the deliciously malty flavors for which German beers are best known. Seductively malty—two-row Vienna and Munich German malts—with a kiss of whole flower German hops for balance, leads to the crisp, dry characteristics of a true German Oktoberfest lager. Crafted for full flavor and carefully aged for depth of character, Festbier is full-bodied while smooth. Available from late summer through autumn, Festbier has an ABV of 5.6% and a suggested retail price of approximately $9.99 for six 12-ounce bottles.
