Artisan and Barrel-Aged Beer, Cider and Whiskey Festival  To Hit Eugene October 21-22, 2016 !!!

Popular Northwest beer festival comes to Eugene for tastings at the contemporary and unique Venue 252

Commemorate one of Oregon’s greatest hallmarks —craft brews and spirits — during the inaugural  Little Woody Eugene Barrel Aged Beer, Cider and Whiskey Festival October 21-22, 2016. The Little Woody series celebrates and recognizes craft wood-aged beers and ciders from across the Northwest, along with small-batch American rye whiskeys and bourbons.

Taste the velvety, deep, intense flavors during the indoor festival at the contemporary and unique Venue 252. Featuring the intimacy of small batch brewing, 20 top local and regional brewers will attend the event including Reverend Nat’s Cider, Wildcraft Cider, Planktown Brewery, Ninkasi and Hop Valley.

“We are excited to launch the Little Woody series in Eugene,” said Aaron Switzer, owner of Lay It Out Events, the festival’s producer. “We have an awesome lineup of small batch brewers and distilleries whose flavors really explore the roots of barrel-aging beer. Eugene is going to love it.”

Introducing The Little Woody Speakers Series:
In addition to the beer, cider and whiskey tastings, The Little Woody Eugene will present a Speakers Series. Educational and historical in nature, event attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the art of barrel aging directly from brewers and distillers through small lectures and demonstrations, including The Reverend Nat. There will be a dedicated area inside Venue 252. Full programming and schedule to be announced.

The festival will be open on Friday, October 21 5pm (VIP entry begins at 4pm) and Saturday, October 22, from noon-10pm.

About The Little Woody Series
The adventure began in Bend, Oregon nine years ago with the original Little Woody and continues to spread. The festival is based on the enthusiasm and excitement for small batch wood-aged beers, and the other clever concoctions that local and regional brewers dream of. Whiskey tasting and cider experiments are never far from a gnomes elbow. The event has now spread across the Northwest to Medford, Oregon, Eugene, Oregon and soon Boise, Idaho delivering the cheer of great brews, spirits and of course, gnomes.
