In a marriage that’s fundamentally
Portland, this combination of coffee and beer makes for a robust and refreshing
coffee blend. Warp Speed gets its flavor from being aged on whole coffee beans
for a slow, cold extraction keeping the delicate nuances of a cold pressed
coffee, instead of the typical method of blending beer with a concentrated
coffee, which tends to leave a suppressed coffee aroma and flavor. Warp Speed’s
rich coffee character mixed with the malt and hops make it an aggressive and
surprisingly refined draft.
Warp Speed is 5 percent ABV, 25 IBU and
O.G. of 12.3 – the brewers at Old Town recommend enjoying this buzz-worthy
blend at 45 degrees Fahrenheit, paired with a spicy Cajun dish, slow roasted
brisket or dark chocolate. Take this beer fireside, enjoy it on the snowy
mountains, or swap it for your morning coffee on Saturday.
To celebrate the brewery’s second
installment in its seasonal bottle series, and third available bottled beer,
Warp Speed will be released at several tasting events across Portland,
including:
- North 45 – Brew Hog, Thursday, January 14, 2016, 6-9p.m.
- Civic Taproom & Bottle Shop, Friday, January 15, 2016, 6-9p.m.
- Hollywood Beverage, Saturday, January 16, 2016, 4-6p.m.
Beginning this week, bottles of Warp Speed
will be available at several retail stores
and bottle shops, including most Whole Foods, and New Seasons locations.

Old Town Brewing (OTB) opened in northeast
Portland, Ore., in 2011 with an emphasis on crafting its beer to reflect the
spirit, values, history and personality of Portland and the Northwest. OTB is
the first brewery in the country to deliver beer and pizza by bike straight to consumers,
rain or shine. Reclaimed materials were extensively incorporated into the
design of the LEED Gold brewery, evoking an atmosphere of Northwest
authenticity and sustainability.
Owner Adam Milne opened OTB to complement
his Old Town Pizza® location in Portland’s historic Old Town neighborhood. A
devoted Old Town Pizza customer since celebrating his ninth birthday at the
restaurant, Milne purchased Old Town Pizza from the original owners, the
Accuardi family, in 2003. For more information visit www.otbrewing.com and
