Press Release - White Salmon, WA - On Wednesday,
Nov. 25, Everybody's Brewing will begin selling 22 oz. bottles of
barrel aged, and specialty beers directly from it's pub in White Salmon,
WA. The brewery is calling these bottles the "Local Harvest Series",
as they will only be available for purchase locally at their pub.
The series will roll out with two offerings: Barrel Aged
Sour Cherry Saison, and Russian Imperial Stout.To celebrate, they will open their newly
expanded brewery to the public for tours from 2 to 5 pm, with the opportunity to
sample beer straight from the bright tanks. Owner/Brewmaster Doug Ellenberger said
he's excited to finally bottle some of his beer. "We
make some barrel aged, and specialty beers that we don't distribute, so we're
happy to give people who visit the pub a chance to enjoy these beers
at home. We're starting to see our barrel aging program mature, and this
will be a great outlet for those beers." He also noted that the
Local Harvest Series will rotate styles frequently, selling each new
bottle only while supplies last. "We're really pleased with how
these first two beers turned out", said Ellenberger.

The Russian Imperial
Stout clocks in at 10% ABV, and 90 IBUs.According
to Everybody's, "This Russian Imperial Stout is
packed with roasty, black licorice, and chocolate aromas.
The rich sweetness from the big malt bill is balanced with a
light bitterness. A long fermentation process
at low temperatures keeps this beer clean and drinkable".

Barrel Aged Sour Cherry Saison
is 6.9% ABV, and 24 IBUs. "This Saison began as a crisp Belgian
Saison brewed with Pilsner malts and Merkur hops. After primary
fermentation, we racked the beer to Pinot Noir barrels and added 125 lbs. of
local Sour Cherries to each barrel. After three months of
aging, this beer is full of cherry flavor and aroma."

White Salmon for this bottle release, make sure to stick around for their
annual "Night Before Thanksgiving Karaoke", which starts at 8:30.
Now in it's seventh year, this party never disappoints, and
draws locals from all over the gorge.

The
biggest of the three Cherry beers we made in 2015, we pack all the
cherries we can into this beer aging for months in our foeders. The
result yields cherry, cascara and coffee aromas and flavors with a light
hint of whiskey barrel character to warm the finish. 9.666% Abv.
Culmination Brewing: Kriek
Wheat
beer aged in a single Pinot barrel with Brett Brux and Oregon tart
cherries. Funky brett aroma, medium red color. Mild tartness. Estimated
7.5% Abv.
De Garde: Cherry Blu Bu
Berliner-weisse style sour wheat beer brewed with Cherries and Blueberries.
Deschutes: The Dissident
The
Dissident is an Oud Bruin, a distinctive Flanders-style sour brown ale,
with a heavenly aroma and flavor. Our first wild yeast beer, we use
Brettanomyces and local cherries to give The Dissident its
characteristic sour taste. Our stiffest brewing challenge, it must be
fermented in isolation from our other beers for a full 18 months, partly
in pinot and cabernet barrels. The words coddled and “worth it” come to
mind. 10.7% Abv.

Dogfish Head: Higher Math
Higher
Math is a tribute to that auspicious first beer and celebrates 20
off-centered years of Dogfish Head. It’s a golden strong ale fermented
with sour cherry juice and cocoa nibs and clocks in at 17% ABV.
Double Mountain: Devil's Kriek
Cherry
season is upon us once again, and that means it’s time to peer into the
tanks that have been sitting in the cellar for the last year or so.
When we checked in on this slumbering beauty we found her to be funky,
refreshingly tart, and devilishly deep crimson. Local Bing and Van
cherries from the Double Mountain Orchard from the Columbia Gorge lend
the color and a juicy character. Kept at cellar temperature on whole
fruit for 12 months, and served in its own glass. 9.3% ABV, 9 BU
ABV: 9.3% IBU: 9
Double Mountain: Tahoma Kriek
The
Tahoma Kriek uses a strong Belgian Blonde ale for a base prior to the
addition of local Rainier Cherries. Our house yeast strains and
Brettanomyces Lambicus, was allowed free reign to develop its sour and
complex character, resulting in a stronger, more bracingly tart and
juicy ale than the more classic beers in the style. This beauty was kept
at cellar temperatures on the whole fruit for 13 months. Best enjoyed
with a good cheese and better company. 10.3% ABV, 10 BU

Ecliptic Brewing: Capella Porter with Cherries
Capella
Porter with Cherries is named after a bright star in constellation
Auriga. Sweet dark malt aromas are followed by a nice medium body.
Flavors of chocolate and caramel meld with just a touch of roast. A
collection of American hops (Nugget, Chinook, Centennial and Cascade)
brighten this lively porter. Cherries were added in a secondary
fermentation for an added layer of subtle sweet cherry flavor.
Golden Valley: Cerisely Funky
Golden
Valley’s first kriek (cherry beer) was aged on locally grown fruit, all
of which was hand-picked by our brewmaster. Cerisely Funky spent six
months conditioning with Brettanomyces in French oak wine barrels,
sharing that space over the final few months with 60 pounds of Royal
Anne cherries. Bright cherry, meet Brett funk. OG 1.044 IBU 8 ABV

New Belgium: Transatlantique Kriek
New
Belgium Brewing and Old Beersel of Belgium have partnered to create
Transatlantique Kriek, a spontaneously fermented lambic ale made with
sour cherries. This authentic kriek beer began life in the oaken vessels
at Gert en Jos Christiaens’ brewery in the Lembeek region of Belgium.
After more than two years aging, Oud Beersel’s offering shipped across
the Atlantic and found its way to the intuitive palate of New Belgium’s
brewmaster, Peter Bouckaert. After much sampling and internal
consultation, Peter and his brew staff created a full-bodied Belgian
golden lager to round out the light-bodied kriek. The cherry nose gives
way to a pleasingly sour flash across the palate that rolls gently into a
slightly sweet finish. Crisp, effervescent carbonation keeps the
mouthfeel bright and delightfully tingly. 8% Abv.
Oakshire Brewing: 8
Eight
years after brewing our first batch of beer, we felt the need to
celebrate our success with the small community of our most loyal
supporters. To commemorate this occasion, we crafted this Belgian Ale
and matured it in a handful of select pinot noir wine barrels and aged
it with Northwest grown cherries . This Belgian Kreik-inspired ale has
flavors of tart fruit, oak, and just a touch of funkiness from the
Brettanomyces. Raise your glass of Oakshire's Brewers Reserve 8, and

Our award-winning Doryman’s Ale is aged for 4 months in wheat whiskey barrels with a blend of two Oregon cherry varietals.
Lose
yourself in the complex aroma of ripe cherries and delicate oak while
the roasted malts and Northwest hops tie everything together. The sweet
cherries pair harmo- niously with the roasted malts while the sour
cherries leave a subtle and pleasant
tartness on your palate. The
Cascade and Mt. Hood hops provide just the right amount of their
wonderfully assertive character to give this beer its clean and balanced
finish.
Reverend Nats Hard Cider: Cherried Winter Abbey Spice
This
cider is a take on a very old recipe dating from early 1600s colonial
America, with a modern twist of added carbonation. Raisins, unrefined
cane sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg were fermented to dryness with oak. This
special Cherry Fest keg has the added delight of juice from
Washington-grown Montmorency and Hungarian Balaton tart cherries.
Schooner Exact: Sodo Weisse with Cherries
Tart
and refreshing, our kettle sour is a take on the style of a classic
Berliner Weisse. Honey cereal and slight floral and fruity notes on the
nose transitions into a pleasant burst of acidity in the mouth followed
by a lingering dry malt finish. Method: 72 hour kettle souring with
lactobacillus followed by traditional boil and fermentation.
Approximately 10 lbs/barrel Montmorency cherries during final 10 minutes
of boil. 3.4% Abv.

first Kriek Lambic in our LAMBICKX line! Wonderful aroma of almonds,
macaroon and cherry stones. Dry, elegant fruit palate. Lightly sparkling
to still. Lambics are truly the "wines" of the beer world. Just as
wines vary by season, soil, climate, and aging method, lambics (unlike
any other type of beer) vary by season, brewery location, barrel size
and wood type and length of aging. 6.5% ABV.
Cascade Brewing: Cherry Bourbonic Plague
This NW-style sour
ale is a special treat from the blenders. We took a 20 month old Thai
cinnamon version of the Bourbonic and aged it a further four months on
Bing cherries. Dark cherries, Bourbon and spices greet you in the nose.
Big, rich, dark cherries, dates, oak, leather and tobacco dance on the
palate. Deep cherry notes, dark fruits and a warming Bourbon flavor
finish this off as only the Bourbonic can. 13% Abv.

Chico, CA—November 18, 2015—Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is launching Otra Vez, an incredibly refreshing gose-style ale that will join the brewery’s year-round lineup. Craft drinkers can find Otra Vez on retail shelves starting January 2016.
Otra Vez means “another time,” and for Sierra Nevada that time is early
California when beers were made from local ingredients. The brewery
trialed various native produce searching for great flavors. Prickly pear
cactus flourishes in the state’s arid deserts, and grapefruit fills the
Central Valley’s flats. Together their fruity-tangy blend makes Otra
Vez, whose tartness is true to the gose style, pop with character.
“We wanted to make one of the easiest drinking craft beers out there,
and funny enough Otra Vez has been a bear to get just right,” said Ken

experimental beer program with our latest addition: Big Burn Imperial

Originally we we’re set to brew this beer during the month of September-
when the boys from Point Blank Distributing in Portland we’re scheduled
to hang at the brewery for a couple days. Turned out that Mother Nature
wasn’t quite up for that- as much of Wallowa County (and Eastern
Oregon) was battling blazes from multiple wild fires.
So after that was all over, and the flames we’re put out by our
fearless and hardworking wildland fire crews- it was time to brew some
beer- hence the name Big Burn Imperial IPA. With some huge aroma from
Mosaic, Simcoe, and Citra hops, Production Manager/Brewer Josh Evans
says, “Big Burn takes everything you love in an northwest style IPA and
makes it’s bigger”. Coming in at 8.5% and a respectable 80 IBU’s, Big
Burn is a remarkably drinkable beer that’s true to style.

SEATTLE, Wash. (Nov. 17, 2015) Beer fans near and far will soon be able to enjoy Reuben’s Brews.
This
month, the Ballard brewery signed an agreement with Bellingham’s
Dickerson Distributors to bring Reuben’s bottles and draft beer to
Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan Counties.
“We’re
excited to be working with Dickerson,” says co-founder and head brewer
Adam Robbings. “Like us, they’re a small, family-owned business and it’s
important to us to support family-owned businesses whenever possible.
We’re working on steadily expanding our distribution around the Pacific
Northwest and I know they’ll do a great job of getting our brews to more
beer lovers.”
Distribution of Reuben’s Brews
in King, Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston Counties is already
managed by Click Wholesale Distributing.
The
brewery is also expanding into another new market – one close to
Robbings’ heart. Last week, the first shipment of a few pallets of
Reuben’s Brews beer arrived for distribution in the United Kingdom.
“My
friends and family back in the UK have been asking to get our beer and
we finally managed to do it!” says Robbings, a native of the London
area. “We’re working with Left Coast Distribution on putting together a
UK-wide launch. That’s still in process, but watch this space!”
Reuben’s
is continuing to work on expanding its distribution around the Pacific
Northwest, but it’s going to be a gradual process. The brewery’s
production has expanded from 830 barrels last year to an estimated 2,500
barrels this year and is expected to hit around 6,000 barrels in 2016.
“Although
we have and will continue to increase production, we’ll always be a
small brewery that puts the beer first,” explains Robbings. “We’d love
our beer to be available throughout the Pacific Northwest, but can’t get
ahead of ourselves. We need to be thoughtful and realistic about
expanding distribution and only do it when we have the beer and
resources to do it properly.”

Art Larrance, director of The Oregon Brewers Festival,

University, will release the results of a study estimating the economic
impact of the 2015 Oregon Brewers Festival. Dense and a team of students
and volunteers administer on-site interviews at the annual summer

The
Oregon Brewers Festival has done this study for the past five years to
determine what economic impact the Oregon Brewers Festival, and craft
beer tourism, have upon the Portland economy. Respondents are queried on
demographic factors, along with estimates of OBF related expenditures
in tourism-related categories, including transportation, lodging, meals,
gasoline purchases, non-beer related recreation, beer purchased to take
home, and expenditures at the OBF.

ESCONDIDO, CA – Some things are just too good for the world to be deprived of them. This is true for Stone Brewing Co.’s rerelease of the delicious and wildly popular beer that was introduced last year in 22-ounce bottles as Stone Xocoveza Mocha Stout.
It was an instant hit. Because craft beer enthusiasts voiced fervent
adoration via social media and online forums, Stone was inspired to
embrace the joyous spirit of giving and rebrew this milk stout infused
with cocoa, coffee, peppers, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Starting this
week, the beer is making a comeback in 12-ounce six-packs and on draft
at select retailers, restaurants and bars nationwide.
First brewed in 2014 with San Diego homebrewer Chris Banker, this
Mexican hot chocolate-inspired creation was named the champion of
Stone’s annual homebrew competition. Thanks to the adoring public, this
creamy, spiced stout has gone from initially being a one-time offering
to a yearly limited release. While returning with new, winter-influenced
packaging and a new name, “Stone Xocoveza for the Holidays & the
New Year,” the tasty, complex recipe remains the same.

“Since this beer first arrived on store shelves and on tap, Stone fans

When re-creating Banker’s original recipe, unconventional brewing
ingredients were used to emulate the rich, robust flavors of Mexican hot
chocolate. Cocoa and milk sugar added during the brewing process gives
the beer another level of sweetness. Coffee provided by San Diego-based
roaster Mostra Coffee, pure cocoa from Southern California’s ChocoVivo and
vanilla give the beer a rich, roasty flavor. Cinnamon, nutmeg and a
small dose of pasilla peppers create a medley of piquant aromas. The
malt bill offers the beer a strong backbone for all those flavors and
aromas, while English Challenger and English East Kent Golding hops
provide the perfect amount of bitterness to harmonize with the flavorful
diversity.

or stored at proper cellaring temperatures for months or even years.

Appearance: Pours black with a thick brown head. Aroma: Intense
cinnamon, cocoa and coffee are followed by nutmeg and peppers. As the
beer warms up, the flavor combinations evolve and the cocoa and vanilla
notes really start to open up. Taste: Cocoa
and cinnamon are at the forefront. The coffee, nutmeg and vanilla
follow, and the fruitiness and heat of the pasilla peppers come through
nicely on the finish. Palate: Full bodied and very smooth with a light bitterness. The sweetness adds a lot to this beer without being syrupy. Overall: When
we first brewed this beer in 2014, I think everyone on the brewing team
was blown away by its multiple layers of flavor. The inspiration came
from Mexican hot chocolate combined with coffee. We loved how
wonderfully this beer showcases the spices, cocoa and subtle coffee
roast flavors, so much that we were excited to bring it back as an
annual Stone special release.
