Existing partnership and great product knowledge make The Odom Corporation a natural choice

(Oct. 2, 2015 – Juneau, Alaska)  Alaskan Brewing has announced a switch in distributor partners in the Seattle area, moving to The Odom Corporation, which has operated in the Seattle market since 2005. Odom has been distributing Alaskan products in Eastern Washington since 2004. Odom and Alaskan Brewing have the additional connection of both being family-founded businesses with a long history in the Pacific Northwest.

“We have known the Odom family for years and have had a great working relationship in Eastern Washington, so we are very excited to be working with them in the Seattle market,” said Geoff Larson, co-founder of Alaskan Brewing. “With their long-term knowledge of our product line, we are confident that this partnership will yield immediate benefits to both Alaskan Brewing and to The Odom Corporation.”

Alaskan Brewing was founded in Juneau in 1986 by Geoff and his wife Marcy Larson, and today ranks as one of the top 20 craft breweries in the U.S.  Odom was founded in 1934 by Milt Odom, and so the two companies have worked in the same industry and markets for decades.

“We are proud to represent the Alaskan Brewing brands in the Pacific Northwest,” said Adam Hilpert, Chief Executive Officer of The Odom Corporation. “Alaskan is a perfect fit for The Odom Corporation and we look forward to expanding our relationship with Alaskan Brewing to include the Seattle market. The brewery’s ongoing commitment to brew quality products aligns with Odom’s commitment to providing the best in craft beer offerings”.

Alaskan Brewing fans in Seattle should see no interruption in buying Alaskan at their favorite bar, restaurant or store, but will soon be seeing the beer on even more store shelves and tap handles.

“We have always had a close connection to Seattle and Washington State,” Larson said. “It is our second largest market, next to Alaska, and our states are tightly linked with shared economies, our residents have a strong commitment to our natural surroundings, and of course both Seattleites and Alaskans know that the great outdoors can be made even better with a great craft beer.”

The transition to Odom as the new distributor in Seattle will be occurring during October and should be fully complete by Nov.1.
